The Servery.

* The servery was the link between the kitchen and the dining room, where covers were removed from the food and the final touches made; they were often equipped to reheat food.

In some houses, electric railways were installed to transport heated food quickly. However, in most houses, the dining rooms and kitchens were moved closer together. At Burghley, for example, the dining room moved to the North front.
