| 9:00 a.m. | Give out the stores for the day, then back to oversee the stillroom maid cleaning and putting away the china. |
| 10:30 a.m. | Make a round of the bedrooms to check the housemaids' work and ensure that soap, candles, writing paper and ink had not run out. |
| 1:00 p.m. | Sit at the head of the servants' table and carve one of the joints (the butler carved the other). After the main dinner, retire to her own room to have pudding and cheese with the other upper servants. |
| 2:00 p.m. | Arrange the dessert for the evening dinner; prepare biscuits and cakes for the five o'clock tea; set out tea and coffee to be sent up to the drawing room after dinner; pay out money for extra supplies and workers, such as the chimney sweep; do the household accounts. |
