About Peterborough Sense of Place.Peterborough Sense of Place is a Peterborough City Council website that explores the history of the city and the people that made it; how they have responded to challenges and opportunities to create different lifestyles. This project is also a gateway to images and sounds that give an insight into what makes Peterborough special: the people, culture, history and nature of the city. This is a New Opportunities funded digitisation venture that involves 5 partners and brings together heritage material from different sources for the first time. This project is also part of the East of England Sense of Place Consortium, which consists of 5 local organisations: Cambridgeshire County Council, Essex County Council, Norfolk County Council, Peterborough City Council and Suffolk County Council. To find out more about the content of this project, you can either go to the themes section or search the database for items from the collection. |
